BONGO
I'm completely out of touch with prices, companies, specs etc now and need a little help with a bike for someone in work for his 13 year old son.He is after a 26" or 24" 'jump' bike, for about £200...I know it's not much at all, but as non rider, it's money for a bike and not really money for a hobby if you get me, so £200 is theire limit really. We've had a look on CRC, Wiggle and Evans, Tarty too, but not found a whole lot. Can any knowledgeable folk help out with a few links maybe of what's about the best he can expect for that price please????? Would really appreciate it Thanks in advance... sstein
For £200 you are going to get a sh*t jump bike that will break straight away, go second hand or go for a bmx such as a GT. For a 24/26" jump bike you are looking a minimum £350 for something useable with something good costing upwards of £700 normally. Your best bet for 24" is a saracen amplitude with rigid forks, they ride relatively nicely and are quite cheap (I think around £200 last time I checked).Tell your friend that if they want something to last it is worth the extra money going for this or something similar. Muel
Ebay. My Scott YZ0 went for £375, and it was mint, literally like new with new tyres, grips, brake pads, chain, block, chainring, shifter, chain device, pedals etc.For £200 you might struggle, but you might be lucky and get this:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Dialled-Bikes-UK-Flo...id=p3286.c0.m14

Simpson
He is after a 26" or 24" 'jump' bike, for about £200...Problem about a "Jump" bike is that reasonable front suspension for drit jumping is £120+ which bumps up prices a lot.
