terry26rims
I broke my chain tool before i switched my rear freewheel from a 16t to a 18t. Put my wheel back in and my chain fits neatly round the freewheel and chain ring with a little play still. Do i NEED a chain tensioner, or will everything run fine as it is? ta
Mr Bob
It Should be fine as long as there is'nt loads of slack(e.g. Slappping the frame), if the chain keeps coming off then thats an indication for you to get one!Hope this helped, cheers josh. Styles
Plus, if you do have too much slack in the chain, and you kick down too hard, it may snap the chain and a not too pleasant outcome...

Dale-Hill
Untill you chain streches. It should be fine.
