Cheers tic. Just priced up a full slx setup on crc, for the money it seems good kit! Roll on payday.

As for the chain guide I've ordered on through a mate in my lbs, but I'm concidering one of those superstar setups now, look a good piece of kit for the money!

You've always been a flash git haven't you Craig. :P.

Does your frame have ISCG tabs? If you're mounting the guide via a BB adaptor get an ISCG Old guide because its a closer fit to the BB so its much neater (Y)

Photos of my rebuilt Commencal to follow when I get the chance to clean it and take some photos.

I'm still contemplating replacing my Fox Float forks with a set of U-Turn Sektor's but part of me wants to save the cash :P

Bit of a change from riding full sus bikes for the last 11 years or so! Steel is real :)

Hopefully go 2x10 over the summer, new rims to be ordered soon and change the brakes to something a little lighter weight.

Any recommendations on rims would be great, want to keep the hubs but they're 36h so limits me slightly.

Dunno if you'd be interested Craig but I've got a 36h ex721 sat in the garage, straight, not seen much use as far as I know. Does have slight fade on the sidewalks from rim brakes but its not worn bad at all. Yours for 20+postage...

Craig, is that the Cotic that you were planning on getting? It looks very tidy :)

I swear by Sun rims, I have EQ27's on my Commencal and the EQ31's on my Giant.

I know I'm only a lightweight rider but I have given both bikes a good thrashing and the rims have held up nicely.

For that bike the Sun EQ27's should be ideal (Y) EDIT: Dammit they don't come in 36h...

Cheers for the off Tom, but being a tart I'll be buying a pair of new rims just not sure what.

It is indeeds Ticcy, it's all right. Not ridden it as such yet, due to gammy arm, but the "car park test" seems all ok. Not overly heavy either.

Yeah was looking at Sun rims but shafted on the holing. Guess it's Mavic's just not sure what, XM719Disc? I'd like XM819Discs but i think they're 32h only :(

  • 3 weeks later...

Its been a while since i posted in here, Since Feb 2010 it seems! Anyway back then i had this..

konashopped.jpg?t=1266157776

Great bike but i was made a offer i could not reffuse so it went! I was with no bike for a while and then after a little scout through ebay i came across something i have been after for years! Ever since they came out i wanted one, but being about 14 at the time it was impossible!

With a upside down photo!

Got most of the parts to have it built up now but its been much more of a "on the side bike"

My Ragley up to date. When im looking at her, she looks awesome, but in the pictures looks really poor spec :( Ive spent loads trying to improve the spec too!

Picture taken today on a sunny (but windy) Kitt hill.
