JLKitching
I find that riding in Pumps are hard to ride in as they are very thin and it hurts your feet. Skating shoes are good as they are thick and grip very well. x
BringThatShtIn
I bought a pair of FiveTen Freeriders about 6 months ago, and I must say they are very good indeed. They have a stupid amount of grip, to the extent where if my feet are already in the wrong position on the pedals i have to completely lift them clear to reposition them (I even have to look at my feet at the same time!). Also, the pins on my pedals fit really handily into the gaps in the tread, providing even better grip. Since they're designed with hardcore freeriding etc in mind, they're also very strong and provide a good platform for your feet. They haven't even worn at all. And they look cool =)

Stephen G.
I think you should wear some skate shoes because they have a flat bottom to them and improves grip. I fell off quite badly a few weeks ago because my skate shoes were wet so i decided to wear my school P.E shoes so I could ride. it was a bad idea. I hurt my ribs so I couldn't ride for about 5 days. So I think you should wear skate shoes.
