0zzy
ive riden 3 times with my lgms, and over half has gone, this is on a dead grind...
Muel
Sounds to me like the UK ones may not be the same compound as the prototype ones...
cai
The LGM's are a stunning pad in the wet. Last for ages the only test rider to wear out a pair so far is TRA and he rides heaps!errrm..ive riden 3 times with my lgms, and over half has gone, this is on a dead grind...The boy's being quite modest, I'd say the pads have easily gone passed the half way mark. N.Wood
My proto ones have lasted me months and months and are still all good.
Phatmike
Odd how all the riders claiming decent pad wear have had the prototype ones. Are there many people who've got the production TNN pads that haven't noticed a less than acceptable wear rate?Indianatrials - I can recommend the Phatpads for sharp bite and tremendous hold, especially in the wet! I've had many competitions in the pouring rain and mud where the pads have performed as if it were dry. I've taken a few comments from the forum and compiled them here; http://phatworks.co.uk/testimonial.htm It should give you an idea as to the wet weather performance. Ali C
Phatpads do indeed have great bite, but I always found them lacking in the hold department. My current LGM pads are not prototype ones and they are lasting ages.
Rob Brodie
My koxx greens actually preformed better in the wet than in the dry on a light grind thats because there wet weather pads
Duncy H
My current LGM pads are not prototype ones and they are lasting ages. What grinds are people running with these pads though? and what setups i.e if a booster might somehow make a difference? J Trials 31
Yes, but what works good with a pretty much dead grind in all weather. My Heatsink ( not sure what they are, they are clear) pads seem to be slipping a bit.

Muel
Nothing works on a dead grind in the wet, the only brakes that work in the wet, (in my experience), are fairly hard pads on a proper b*****d of a grind.Heatsink reds on a harsh grind on an echo rim is about the best I've tried. tryallmaster
There are NO difference between the prototype LGM's and the ones in the shops.I run a sharpe medium grind from using a flexible grinding disc. I ride for at least 12 hours a week solid!!!The pads are less than half worn after four months riding... I stuggling to understand how some people are wearing them down in such a short time Tell me exactly how you wear them down super quick: How many rides? How long? What grind? What rim? Im very interested to know?TRA doesnt even wear them down that quick!!! Danny Mac thinks there too good! Ali C loves them! Stan's vid using the LGM's speaks for itself!Top riders in the World rate the LGM as one of the best pads they have ridden and confirm that the wear rate is not as extreme as some of you make them out to be...I smell something fishy... Ill tell you something, i'd never seen these pads in action before but when lewis came to loxely common with kenny i was amazed in the bite they had. And when he told me how long he had had them and for that amount of time they had hardly worn, Im definately going to buy a set, they look amazing.
