What Wet Pads?

I need pads for the wet. I have a vee setup and a maggie setup i can use, whichever would be better. A budget of 25 pounds max. or 40$. I like LOUD SHARP bite with good hold, not as big of a deal as loud and sharp. What should i get? They really need to work good in the dry too.

Thanks

What grind were you using?

Best pads I've EVER used, and I mean used on anyone's bike were my Koxx blues. Better than phat, plaz, try-all, everything. Seriously, get to your local halfords and order some!

They worked in water, shitty muddy puddles, mud, dry and had an amazing wear life!

Is that for real, Ben. I'm looking for new pads and was looking at the TNN greens but those Koxx ones are much cheaper.

Yeah seriously! I started using them on a fresh medium grind, which was pretty shitty 'cause it was a crap rim. But a fresh, medium grind will be AWESOME with Blues!

Im still on my first set of LGM's from 4 months ago!!!

I am really keen to ride with some of you guys who are wearing them out in a week and a half!!!

TRA cant even wear them out in a week and a half! :S

I cant wear them out in a week and of half- even if it was my mission!

Seriously, the LGM's are awesome all round pads and provide confidence in wet, dry and muddy conditions.

Definitely worth the investment!

Lewis.

On a normal grind they don't last at all! At the start of today I had about 3mm of material left, and now after the Reading ride I'm right down to the backing! The brake is actually unusable. I don't know if it was becuase they were on a fresh grind, but the wear life is shocking as far as I'm concerned.

Koxx Browns on a medium/sharp grind! I've used these pads ever since I started trials and they've always performed extremely well, When set up properly they last easily over a year (well my pairs have anyways) been running a pair on my Python since 2006 and they're still pretty meaty.

Can be bought from Tarty bikes and they're like £18. Try-all Croco's

been running koxx blues up front on a smooth rim for a while now, not amazing in the rain on a smooth rim but brilliant when its dry! and they've barely worn down at all.

I can vouch for this. I've had my proto set in for the past 2 1/2 months with barely any wear. And that's been through at least 3 very harsh grinds!!

I rode 2 comps in 2 days in the wet, mud, river... even through a river.. and the pads still made a loud noise on the other end! I have NEVER had a pad do that.

Was a little skeptical at first when Lewis talked them up (cos they had his name on it haha), but he wasn't kidding.. they f**king work.
