PIERPOINT
Yeh you should aslong as you have the right size spokes ,well thats what i believe, and are rear wheels on trials bike normally 19"?
kyeo00
I'm not sure because of where the Brakes are- the 19" would obstruct it.I've seen 10+ of these threads asking whether they can fit 19"s on a RIP.And most of them seem to come out with- 'NO'.GL Mat. Ryanonza
Yeah normally do come with 19'' so i just wondered if 19'' would be able too fit on mine dont see how i couldnt thanks anywaysCheers for advice will just have too try it for now and see how it works out !Thanks
monkeyseemonkeydo
It's purely down to the brake setup. Because the Rip comes with a 20" rear rim the brake bosses are welded to be in the correct place for that rim. If you changed to a 19" rim there's a chance you won't be able to set the brake up properly and the pads may not hit the rim properly. It's a gamble basically. Ryanonza
Yeah i see what you mean, best thing for me too do now is try and see if it would work i though that a 19'' would be able too fit with no problems because its quite similar too the Onza Bird !but thanks anyways for the advice
Jack Morton
Why do you want a 19" rim edsactually is it just cause you want a wider rim ?
theom
Cant see it working, if a 19" would fit surely they would fit one as standard?. 19" rims are alot wider than 20" rims with the tyre on. It might rub on the frame. Edited August 12, 2009 by theom
Maladie
No, just don't bother. It was hard enough getting my v-brake set-up properly on the new Echo rim I got for my Bird, and that already comes with a 19" rear wheel. Unless you bought one of those hubs where you can slide a disc ontowithout having disc mounts on your frame ..But they look shit so
