RossMcd
Heyy! After months of not having my laptop working I decided to try one more time and got it working pretty much straight away. But the only problem now is the speakers, which are built into my laptop dont seem to work and programs that use speakers like itunes have a little warning window pop up saying no speakers installed Seems a bit odd to be honest seeing as the speakers are built into the actual laptop. Headphones also dont work so im assuming something is up with the driver or something.I have no idea how I'd go about fixing it so Id like some TF guidance Help pleaseee!!! RossMcd
well I'm not much of a computer whizz so I dont really know my stuff. All i know is that I can go online, play games, chat to people, listen to music and watch videos on it I dont really know the ins and outs. Ill get a picture up of the sounds and audio devices screen asap.

Redneck
try going to the manufacturer's website then support and downloads and see if you can find an audio driver for that model computer. if nothing, google audio drivers for that make and model
anzo
Go to Start> Control Panel> System> Hardware> Device ManagerThis will bring up a list of devices, click Audio as shown below...Hopefully, is this is a driver issue you'll have a yellow question mark in that list. If that is the case (and you haven't already found one), post up your laptop make and model and I'll find you the driver

anzo
Audio - XPGraphics - XPNetwork Controller - XPChipset - XPNote: Usually with drivers you download them and they'll unzip themselves into another location (ie. C:\Windows\Drivers), and its from there you'll need to run the installation! You can sometimes do it via the XP 'Locate driver location' thing through Start> Control Panel> Add Hardware, but its a bit shit and can take an age).
