monkeyseemonkeydo
I just got a message from Mike Graves, ex World Round rider and super nice guy:Evening mate. Hope you're well. Could you do me a favour and spread the word: Dad had a heart attack yesterday morning and is currently in Winchester hospital wired up. He's looking a lot better than he was and is sat up in bed and chatting. Unsure of when he'll be home but should be moving to Southampton General in the next couple of days to their specialist heart unit. Just thought people would like to know. Take care, MikeThis probably means nothing to most people but Terry has been an important figure in UK biketrials and the ACU for many years and has been organising the Hampshire Biketrial series for the past 8 or so years. He is one of the kindest and nicest people anyone will ever meet and I just wanted to pass on this information for those of you who know him.I very much hope he's through the worst of it but will endeavour to find out more and see if I can go visit him at some point. Anyway, my thoughts are with Terry, Hazel and Michael and will let you know if I hear anything else.
Barbara
So very sorry to hear about this, Terry and Hazel have become good friends of ours over the years and have done so much for the sport. Hope everything goes well and he continues to recover.Barbara & Brian

Rich Pearson
Really quite stunned by this, having known him for going on 8 years now Terry is what I would regard as a pretty tough guy.Dave, I'll be heading to london on wednesday/thursday, and its not too far out of my way to swing by Southampton if you were thinking of going and seeing him one evening? I pretty much owe my riding career to people like Terry who set up the first comps I ever went to and really got me into the sport, so I'd like to make the effort to get over there and see the old chap.Rich

Will update if I get any news.

monkeyseemonkeydo
Dave any chance we can get a card or something sent to him, with the names from everyone in here?I've just got a card to give him but obviously there's no way everyone/anyone will be able to sign it. Was thinking of printing out the comments left and putting it in the card then signing it from all of HBTC or whatnot.
that NBR dude
Yea thats the sort of lines I was thinking along. Just a nice way of showing theres an awful lot of people out there whos he's really helped out and made an impact on, who are thinking of him during this time.Glad to hear he's doing ok, if you could pass on my best wishes when you see him, that would be great. Mowgli
quite surprised at the news, terry was always smiling and having a joke, seemed to be pretty healthy too. I hope his recovery is a speedy one. A card is a good plan, tis a shame we wouldn't all be able to sign it.

monkeyseemonkeydo
Just got back from the hospital and Terry's doing fine- looks a little worse for wear but apparently much better than he did yesterday! They were at a car boot sale when it happened yet he still drove home before getting Michael to drop him off at the hospital and he walked in unassisted!! That's our Terry!Apparently he has a list of do's and don't's as long as his arm, one of which is no driving for 6 weeks and he's already thinking of what to do for the next Hampshire comp at Bransgore!! He's suggested that it be made a play day so he doesn't have to mark out the sections etc. but I just found it funny that he was already planning how to get round this minor setback!Anyway, he was happy to hear that everyone's asking after him and I think Michael's keeping an eye on this thread so keep the comments coming .
