2FST4U
Hi,Ive got about 5mm play on the rear hub. The wheel isn't buckeled just moves side to side on the hub. Does it matter? Thanks
weirdoku
What hub is it? I'm guessing you ride mod, this gap/play is probably you are missing a spacer that came with the hub or you are missing a snail cam. Some mod hubs are 110mm sized but the frame is 116mm, snail cams are 3mm each. So 2 snail cams plus the hub makes up the 116mm spacing. 2FST4U
Hi mate,I've got an onza blade. It was like that when i bought it on friday. Not sure if it's me being paranoid. Just don't want to break it. Cheers
RossMcd
Common on the onza unsealed hubs. tighten the cones and you need to keep an eye on them and keep them tight at all times.
2FST4U
Ok cheers i will. Is it worth getting a different/better rear hub. I take it you can use all the spokes and stuff just swap everything over? Thanks for the help.
trials-ryan
Yes you would be better of getting a better hub as i have broken 3 of them they are rubbish.
2FST4U
Ok, so could i take the wheel and a better hub to a bike shop and they would swap it for me? Or do i need to get other stuff to do that? Thanks again
Sam Moss
Yoe should tighten the cones on the hub to get rid of the play. Make sure you dont over tighten the hub because it can damage the hub and it will be hard to turn the wheel.
