peggysue
hi people, ive recieved my zoo pitbull forks today from tarty's. got back from work and started to fit them, so far so good . then when i put my front wheel in the tire rubs on the bottom of the steerer.i have a maxxis larsen tt tire on the front and its half worn, with a try all rim and hope hub. theres a couple of flat spots on the rim which does not help but ive never seen a tire sooooooo close to the bottom of the steerer . even if i attempt to take the flat spots out , it will still rub .....why is this ??????? peggysue
well i had turn the bike upside down drop the forks in then slightly pull up evenly on both sides to lock the wheel in place to give me some clearance from the steerer. its worked but one heavy landing will pop the hub back into where it supposed to be. i reckon i need a skinnier tire maybe a 2.1? has anyone had the same problem as me? Skoze
Mine used to do that, Could never get the Larsen to fit it, high rollers rubbed a tiny bit too. Weird.

Skoze
Got a smaller front tyre! Was running a 2.5 high roller up front for a bit (had some serious tyre clearance issues when I changed frames) the 2.35 Larsen just wouldn't fit at all. I put the 2.35 high roller back up front when i got another for the back and it fitted ok, only with a tiiny little rub which sorted itself out. Lesson to learn; Deng is gay. DannyBazz (:
My mate had this problem... I think he ground the bottom of the steerer (bit that is connected to the actual forks) and it gave more clearance for his Tyre
cai
My 2.35 Larsen TT fitted in fine with my Zoo! Pitbull forks - there wasn't alot of space between the tyre and fork but there was atleast 5mm all round.
