PaRtZ
I don't know if sandblasting works on anodised surfaces. Usually its caustic soda to remove the anodizing... but shot peening or sand blasting might work....Why?
Rafal
because the rest of bike is silver ;-)
RossMcd
Im sure Zoo! forks are painted and not anodised. I used to have a pair and Im sure they are painted Sandblasting should work
Echo-Scott
Zoo forks arn't anodized. And even if they were. Ive removed anodizing on bars with nothing more than sandpaper alone.

indianatrials
Whats really good to remove anodizing is a wire brush on a dremel, then buff it a little bit.I would like to know is there possibility of sandblast the ZOO! fork? or is it anodised and wont work?Anyone tryed this? Ben John-Hynes
It's paint. Just get your hands on some Nitromors and whack it on!
Rafal
ok i will show you a fnished work in a few days thanks for replies
Ben John-Hynes
You might need to sand the forks after you've Nitromorsed them as they'll have a really shitty finish to them.
Muel
If you want it silver, use Caustic Soda. Sand/Shot blasting will give it a pretty rough finish that dirts sticks too like nothing else. Luckily so does primer, so great if you're thinking ofspraying them.
Rafal
i know i know, it's not first time i'm sanblasting something always spraying at the end. For example my try all rear rim and frame:
Muel
Can I just ask, is that a standard 32h Try-All rear rim with 25mm holes? How much did the single walling save? Thinking of doing it.Also, how did you lop it out?
Rafal
yes standard rim. I cut it to single wall by grinder (i dont know if its correct name) Very easy work. About 30min and saved more than 100g as you can see on the pic It weighted 690g. 100g cutting, 12g is sandblasting + grind. Greetings
Sandblasting will remove everything, even the whole fork if you do it for too long. So obviously it will remove an anodized surface which the Zoo fork hasn't got.
