Little Question About My Chain

Stevie

Recommended Posts

Right, i just got new rim tape so put that on, and while putting my rear wheel back on i tightened my chain (using chain tensioners) as it was slightly slack.

I got the wheel straight in the frame, and my chain the correct tension but when i spin it round there's a really tight spot and i don't know why, all help greatly appreciated :)

This is on an Onza blade btw.

Thanks

Yeh it's completely normal, it's because the freewheel thread and the tapers in the crank arm are never coaxial, (the centre of each doesn't line up).

Same for the sprocket thread and the axle in the rear hub.
