Otacon
Arghh this annoys me so much, that looks gorgeouss. But these companys are living in a fantasy (not you tarty), i'm on about koxx, deng, rockman, monty. We ALL know how much you make these frames for, bout £50 each and you feel the need to sell them for £500 ? Why ? You dissapoint me, really, Even if i had the money, i couldn't justify paying that amount, purely because i know how much it costs you to make them.Winds me up, seriously, drop your prices 300 quid and watch your sales go through the roof and make more profit than your making now. AdamR28
There's plenty of frames at £300 though... You can't expect a BMW for Kia money, or a Rolex for Casio money, it's the same with anything...
Otacon
There's plenty of frames at £300 though...I said drop his price by £300 meaning they would be £200.A good point you've made there Adam, Plenty of frames at £300, so why should these be any different in price ? Its all the same shit just with different geo, weight and design. Its utter madness.EDIT: Where as with cars as you were using as an example, completly different aspect. A trial frame is a trial frame, simple as, some are just a little lighter than others, have different geometry and look a little different, yet they all give the same performence, where as with a car, they don't all give same performence. AdamR28
A good point you've made there Adam, Plenty of frames at £300, so why should these be any different in price ? Its all the same shit just with different geo, weight and design. The frames aren't all the same though, there are huge differences. Just like with ANY product, the higher end stuff has much more put into it.Example:'Cheap' frame:- Plain gauge tubing with simple shapes (Echo lite)- Less CNC work (Echo Lite)- Made to lower tolerances (Da Bomb etc)- Standard sticker graphics (ZOO Pitbull)- Basic paint finish or just lacquered (Echo/ZOO/Adamant)Car analogy: BMW (cos this type of trials bike frame is MUCH better than a Halfords special/Kia)'Expensive' frame:- Butted or hydroformed tubing, extra bends, complex profiles (Hydroxx, Monty Kamel, Limey 3)- Lots of CNC work (Koxx XTP/Sky)- Made to higher standards, better welding, higher tolerances (Koxx)- Anodised finish or water transfers, even fade anodising like in the case of the Rockman! (Kortz, Slate)- Cost of supporting a huge world team with equipment, travel expenses etc... (Monty, Koxx)Car analogy: FerarriGet what I mean?Ads

Like Ad said, watches all tell the same time, but some are worth more than your cars and some are less than a fiver. Like anything, there are items with special touches, better materials, better design, more exclusivity etc etc. Tak cufflinks as a very basic example. ALL they do is stop your cuffs coming apart. You could use a split pin. But there are ones that cost £15 grand.
