jambo
Just back from the trials park opening was amazing there was guys from the sherco and gazgaz team doing demos and coaching sections for the motorbike boys, pretty amazing stuff. The sections that were setup were amazing considering how quickly it all came together but there is still endless scope for improvement and more amazing sections. Photos to come soon!! Ross McArthur
"The Scottish ACU have backed a new facility in Scotland, based in East Ayrshire. The Bob MacGregor Trials Academy (BMTA), named after the only Scotsman to have ever won the Scottish Six Days Trial is to be operated by a board of trustees and operated as a trust. It is not a private business operation, Archie Shedden, Chairman of the Scottish ACU is to be a member of the trust to protect any investment the SACU makes to this the first venture of it's kind in Scotland. The BMTA is the brain child of trials rider and former motocross competitor Iain Shankie. The BMTA has recently been granted full planning permission by East Ayrshire Council for the venture which will not only serve Scottish trials riders but also bike trial and uni-cycle riders all over Scotland. A survey form has been sent to all SACU trials licence holders to gauge the potential useage of the facilities offered by the BMTA. There are two open days planned for this weekend, Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th March. Anyone wishing to attend is most welcome and can contact Iain Shankie for directions on 07831 681728. The BMTA Trust, assisted by officers of the Scottish ACU are currently in talks with various Scottish sporting bodies to establish if the BMTA can obtain further grant support. There are plans for training facilities, coaching as well as ground for practice which will be made available to SACU affiliated clubs. For further details, keep viewing Trials Central!" Ross McArthur
Cant you compare the size of the rocks to my guns? Pow! The guys had been constant from Wednesday to Saturday. Bryan was talking to the JCB driver saying, "all those rocks up there would be perfect for us if they were on the flat ground over there", as he pointed to a level bit of ground. So off he went and scouped the rocks up and moved them around for us. It was sweet! (thats what was happening in that photo I sent you.)
