Mclovin Posted July 26, 2009 Report Share Posted July 26, 2009 right i have some echo sl forks on my marino 24" as far as i know the forks are 26"i am wantign to run front maggy or vee again, and wondered if they will fit or if i would have to get 24" forks?noooooob question but im puzzled ahha so help much appreciated thansk Ross. Redneck Posted July 27, 2009 Report Share Posted July 27, 2009 to me, it sounds like your running a 26er fork on a 24er frame? i guess, if the pads on the brakes that you decide to put on it touch the rim on the 24" wheel itll work but i dont think it will. you could go with a 46er set up (like the 69er bikes) with a 26" wheel up front and a 24 in the rear. be interesting. best bet would probably be getting a set of 24 friendly forks. im not 100 sure, im a mod rider and dont have much experience with the 26er and 24er bikes. Muel Posted July 27, 2009 Report Share Posted July 27, 2009 You'll need to get some 24" forks, or get the mounts welded on lower, or make up some adapters to move the brake mounts down an inch.I'd just sell the Echos anyway, they'll snap soon as they are.
