Redneck
I have one of the pre-2004 levers, the old one with the big red TPA. the bolt that keeps the lever in the master cylinder assembly keeps coming loose after every ride. I almost had the lever fall off during an event. what should i do to keep it nice and tight and make it not back out all the time?

Sam Nichols
And if that doesn't work get a long hex bolt and a nylock nut from your local nut and bolt shop.
Muel
Do you mean the lever blade bolt or the bar clamp bolt?I do this with the lever blade bolts:http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/wiki/How_To_...m_Coming_Undone.I've done method #1 on every maggy I've had for about 2 years, works great.Loctiting doesn't work I've found, it works for a while but always stops working after a few rides. Olly
Mine worked it's way loose a few times every ride.I just put a nut on the end. Haven't touched it since.
Mark W
For some reason, my lever blade bolt used to work it's way tight only when I had a lot of TPA wound on. If you've got your setup like that, maybe give it a bit of a tweak and see if it stops? I've got no idea why it happened, but that stopped it happening for me. Redneck
i dont have too much TPA on, the master cylinder has a bit of a dead spot, the TPA adjuster doesnt touch the plunger untill a bit a TPA has been wound on. ill play with the TPA first and see if that fixes anything. Revolver
You file it off if you don't have a longer bolt.
Mat Smith!!
You file it off if you don't have a longer bolt. You can fit a nut on without needing a longer bolt, but its abit dodgy, and its not exactly hard to get a standard magura bolt, so you dont have to void the warrenty
Muel
I filed mine down flat and filed the bolt down too because I didn't want to have it sticking out and looking ugly. Also at the time I couldn't find any recessed M5 bolts long enough.

Bigman
I had this problem the other day. So I put superglue on the threads and put it back in quickly! Hasnt come slack since I do a similar method but instead of putting the superglue on the threads i put it on the angled part of the head where it contacts the lever body, always keeps it tight Adam
