I've ran yellows on grind and smooth, and there much better on smooth than a grind IMO.

I had yellow on a grind today.. 5mm pad left when I went out..

2mm when I got home, so don't tell me yellows are for a grind !

a dead grind maybe..

Just so you know... Pads do wear down quick on a grind when there bedding in. ;)

it says on the website that yellow and white are firm, so i would have thought both were for grinded rims...... as good as the yellows are (see my pad review) , i need a bit more hold as im heavier person than some lol. ive been on about 5 rides with them so far and they've worn about 2mm on a fresh grind. they are working as good as i think they possibly can, and i dont wanna cheat and use tar 'a' because thats admitting you have a crap brake, and 'b' because tar and rain dont work together. i would rather get a pad that holds better for me in the first place. i have tha cnc backing yellows so its just a new material ik looking for.

i thought yellow and white were different compounds but there most likely just colour or the website would state otherwise. the yellows will do fine for now. im happy but ill have to try something different once they've run out......

Does your brake slip a lot? I've found that if it slips all the time then it can wear the pads down much faster.

Who cares, if the brake slips then its obviously a wank pair of pads.

Heatsink should bring back the reds!

Be it either one of those reesons, the point im making is that I wouldn't ride if my brake was slipping badly - I'd spend a little time sorting out the problem. Why ride with a useless brake and waste a pair of pads (if your theory is true about it wearing down pads quicker).

i will let people here know the brake is set up perfect, the bleed is perfect , the grind is still perfect and nothing is contaminated. the pads are working there best now and have settled down there wear rate. basically what this comes down to with these pads is my weight , weighed myself yesterday and im now 18 and a half stone. when my mate tried my bike the pads worked alot better with him as hes smaller than me. infact he runs cousts and wants the yellows next lol . i just need a pad with a bit more hold for my weight thats all ........
