Warbs
Hello AllI have been looking at the hubs on my bike and wondered if it is possible to changed the sealed berings in the hub??If so have any of you removed them and if so how did you do it??I was then going to try and get some new bearings from the local engineering supplies, as I would guess they would be a standard size, after all Onza Echo etc would not manufacture bearings they would get them supplied by someone like SKF.Thanks in AdvanceTom
Robwalker
What hubs are you running? Most sealed bearings are presses into the hub and need to be punched out one way or another.

Also there is more than one and it looks like they need to be pulled out from each side.
eskimo
Knock them out using the axle and mallet. It'll still be fine as normal. Just be careful to not kill the whole bearing, don't want the outside of the bearing stuck in the hub and only the centre come flying out.
