PaRtZ
yeah click on that site, but a breakdown:theres loads of different series out there, UK nationals, Tyketrials, YMSA etc etc. Each have slight tweaks on the rules but the main things you need to know:BIU RulesContact between the course + bashring = 0 penaltyContact between the course + pedal = 0 penaltyContact between the course + foot = 1 dabContact between the course + hand = 5 dabsContact between the course + Handlebars = 5 dabsStepping your foot over the frame of your bike and then placing it on the ground = 5 dabsWheel axles crossing course tape = 5 dabsWheel axles hanging over course tape, but not touching ground = 0 dabsFront and Rear wheel axles + BB axles must cross THROUGH the gateMaximum 5 dabs per sectionUCI RulesContact between the course + bashring = 1 dabContact between the course + pedal = 1 dabContact between the course + foot = 1 dabContact between the course + foot, then pedal, then bashring = 1 dabContact between the course + pedal, then bashring, then foot = 3 dabContact between the course + pedal, then foot, then bashring = 2 dabContact between the course + hand = 5 dabsContact between the course + Handlebars = 5 dabsStepping your foot over the frame of your bike and then placing it on the ground = 5 dabsWheel axles crossing course tape = 5 dabsWheel axles hanging over course tape, but not touching ground = 0 dabsFront and Rear wheel axles + BB axles must cross THROUGH the gateMaximum 5 dabs per sectionThere are 5 main categories: White, Green, Blue, Red, Yellow. At each section, there are 5 different routes marked out with coloured flags denoting gates. Check with the organiser of the trial to see, but for example, Tyketrials usually ride blue route until theres a deviation to red, yellow or green. Some sections dont follow any blue route, and have a completly seperate route altogether, others are exactly the same.White and Green you dont need to worry about because they're poussin and minime classes for young children. The first "normal" class you can enter, and probably should regardless of level is blue which is intermediate class and typically has BIU rules. It gives you a good way of how comps go, scoring, tactical dabs, nerves etc. Next is red which is expert. Most series have this as UCI rules, and the route is a bit harder. Yellow is elite, usually UCI and usually pretty nuts. Thats it basically. You have a scorecard to carry round and it gets punched at each section by the observer who keeps time and counts your dabs. And yeah, thats pretty much it
