Laurence--Trials
Ok so I have a “YBN mk 747” chain (shown in picture below) is really bad at the moment it is stretching so much! My dad tightened it really hard and I went out for a 30 min ride and I came back with it slack, is there anyway I can stop this without buying a tentioner or will it stop on its own over time? Thanks.Laurence.EDIT: PS. i ride a T-pro (20") if this helps atall Edited July 20, 2009 by Laurence--Trials

Mikey Tomo
Happens on my T-Pro as well. Think it's the wheel moving forwards on its own.

Mikey Tomo
On the headtube is the onza sign a sticker? Or does it stick out?
RossMcd
Your problem is your tensioners. Get some of these Gusset tensioners and your problem will be solved These are great tensioners! They are very strong and nearly indestructible!
Laurence--Trials
On the headtube is the onza sign a sticker? Or does it stick out?Errr... well theres a few onza stickers and one saying u6pro or something so is it an 06 ?other than that i cant find anything.Your problem is your tensioners. Get some of these Gusset tensioners and your problem will be solved These are great tensioners! They are very strong and nearly indestructible! Are you sure ? they look pritty much the same as the other ones?
RossMcd
Are you sure ? they look pritty much the same as the other ones? They are alot beefier and the Bolt that holds the tension is bigger too! Trust me I have had a few pairs of these, lasting me ages and keeping my wheel strongly in place! The onza ones you have at the moment fall to pieces and snap like crazy. Little Yoshi
oh right ok then, thanks i achally dont know :$ how do you tell ?Think you might have an 07. If your getting the ones Ross is suggesting then there pretty good. BUt if your getting snail cams then there should be to wee holes infront of where the rear wheel goes. Stick a bolt in there with a few washers on it tand the snail cams will work fine.
Simpson
My dad tightened it really hardProbably your problem then mate, chains shouldn't be too tight, on a mod they should have of least a cm worth of play in it, if you over tighten it your just forcing the chain to strech outwards, personally i say you keep the chain and run it slacker, and in a few months get a KMC kool chain, which is solid as fook. Echo-Scott
My concern would be the holes in the chain. Not it acctually streaching. Don't know about some of you guys, But I would Never run a chain with holes in it.
ghostrider88
dunno, but try jumping more than pedaling when doing gaps and similar stuff, many newbies don´t jump at all while doing pedal kick moves, that´s big mistake.or ride without chain like TRA heh
