TJ.
Sorry in advance for the noob question, But I am wandering is it possible to fit a complete stock build into a 50 or 60 litre hiking rucksack or strapped to it safe enough to have it on your back whilst riding a motorbike?Any suggestions welcome and would prefer not to have to take rear wheel off.Cheers TJ
Jitters
I've seen people creatively carry some pretty ridiculous things on motorbikes. That said, and I'm no help, but there's only one way to find out. Send pics when you get it ready to go. =)
JonMack
Take the wheels off, strap them to the bag, and put as much of the bike in the bag as you can? I'd leave it in as few pieces as possible!
Si-man
Mate drove for 3 hours on a ped with his bmx attached to his bag with the wheels in the footwell. Could do a wheel either side where the paniers for a motorbike would go aslong as the exhaust doesnt touch rubber?
ManxTrialSpaz
Take the wheels off, tape them together and tape them to the rear mudguard. Then you could bung bars into the bag (possibly along with the pedals) and wear the rest of your bike with a sling over the shoulder. JT!
Guy i ride with out here bolted a bike rack thing that normally goes on top of the car to the back of his bike. Looked like a small aircraft when he rides away but it works.
Mark W
My friend's ridden to Cologne and back and Madrid and back with a BMX on the back of his Vespa. It's doable! He just took the front end off entirely and strapped that to the side of the frame setup, then had the frame setup on it's side lying on the seat, with the back end (With his back wheel on, you'd take your's off) sticking off the back. Bungee cords and he was away...
Sam Nichols
Reading this thread has given me a burning desire to do some kind of road trip on a motorbike with my trials bike. All I need to do is convince the old man to let me borrow his bike Euro roadtrip anyone?!
Muel
It can be done, but not very easily, my mate brought a mod frame over to my house once in a 60 litre sack and about 8-9 inches of it was stick out the top.

David
I'd like to see this! Does anyone know the laws regarding transporting loads on motorbikes? From what I have read it looks a bit vague.
Simpson
Yea ive carryed a mod in my D&E bag and had the wheels just looped over one of the handle bars, which made it a bit sketchy not being able to use most of the front brake, also whenever i leant over the bike fell as well, so it was like riding with a really over enthusiatic passenger, i don't think riding a distance like that is advisable. PaRtZ
Im sure Ive seen some nutter climbing with a bike strapped to his bag in MBUK a few years back. He climbed up (nothing serious) and then rode down on an xc bike. Wheels were out and frame all attached via the webbing on the bag.Ideally the berghaus C7 65+15 or whatever the litreage is (the bioflex one, about £100) would be ideal cos its pretty damn tall and it wont make you offbalance as much as normal bags
Captain Scarlet
Anyone got the picture of Sam Wheelers moped and his 24" on it, that looked mental!Would definately be something I'd be interested in doing in the future, I bet its a piece of piss on a Gold Wing.
