Czar Freetrials

It's raining so took some pics of some new bits I bought...

I wanted to make my freetrials a bit more 'free'....I must be old 'cos I can't cope with a bike thats good at hopping but back-breaking to pedal around/bunnyhop.

Tried a few different seat options from plastic things to a slammed 'conventional' set-up but I like the slim pivotal seats so think it's the way to go....also trying out an Easton bar & stem as the long/low/wide set up I had wasn't for me.

...at some point the fork will get changed and the brake for something less grabby. Comments/criticisms welcome, it's only a bike.

how does it ride?

looks pretty cool

for me a good compromise...I can still mess about doing the hoppy stuff and it's good fun for more streety rolling stuff...I just find the BB7 a bit grabby and wonder if a Hope would be better.

It looks longer than it is, I think cos it's lower than most bikes with a seat.

...stuck the seat down a bit since the pics...doesn't need to be up that much.

Why not keep the brake as it is, but run a smaller rotor? Looks like a 203mm or something on there - could maybe downgrade to a 185 or 160 or something?

Yes, 203...think reducing will make it more progressive? Its super powerful/light at the lever etc so I get why lots of riders like them but you can be rolling on the front wheel and it'll suddenly grab.

It's the same principle as opening a door - open it furthest away from the hinges and a light touch will make it open quite far. Push with the same force by the hinges and it won't.

Smaller rotors = modulation.

Larger rotors = power.

whats the geo like on them? the more i see this bike the more i like it. that looks quite a streety set up. just the way i like my bikes!

1070/390/+10

I can't cope with all this modern tgs stuttery hoppy stuff so I'm enjoying getting used to this...could do with a higher gear and a non-suicide brake though.
