Hello All :-)

Howdy all, hope your evening is going well :) New to the forum so thought I'd say hello (and ask a question or two of course!)

New to trials (at the tender age of 32  ), just picked up a cheapish ride to get started on (can't post a pic apparently, here's a link if you're interested, pic of my bike)

I know I need to get a bashguard on there (don't suppose someone has one lying around by chance, 22T 104BCD 4-bolt?) and having gears is apparently a no-no (though might be nice to get started with?) but all in all not a bad ride for £100?

Absolute beginner at this lark, but looking forward to learning some new things to do on a bike. On this, does anyone know of anyone doing coaching in the London area? Might be nice to get in some intensive one-on-one skills training to get started with?

cheers all, look forward to chatting with you'll as time goes on B)

A hello back might've been nice? :(

Heya mate,hope your ok,

I don't really think there is coaching unless it's with a group or club who maybe run a bike control course??

i think your best bet is to get in touch with some riders from near where you live/ride etc and arrange to meet up with them, then when you ride with them observe them to get an idea of things and ask them for a small insight into technique to get what the moves are and what they are about,do not fully copy them though because everyone eventualy has their own unique style and touch to riding, also watch videos, believe me it helps and inspires and will give you ideas, but above all enjoy it,never let it get you down or too frustrated and adopt your own style of riding, take your time,be safe.....let me know how it goes, good luck, and welcome to the forum :)(Y)

Heyy

I agree who ever you heard gears are a no-no. They are just a bit of spear metal on the back of your bike:p

Also it is not bad forr £100 were you pick it up?

Bashguard.. not to sure mate i have one ill have a look for you later if you like..

P.S: You will be able to get a cheep single speed conversion from your nearest bike shop or the internet depend on what one you are looking for

Hey dude, welcome (Y)

Looks a pretty sweet starter bike to me, nice and streety!!! Gears aren't necessarily a no-no, i'm quite tempted to get some on my Leeson... As for bashes, have a browse on google, bolt-ons have become fairly obsolete in recent years so it might prove hard to find.

Anyway, good luck and enjoy :)
