Jamie905
Right all!Just had my Hope pro 2/echo urban stock wheel come through this morning to run on the rear, but after putting it in the dropouts, I found out the brakepads are locked onto the rims because of its width. Ive cut down the pads quite alot and it still isnt budging. It mounts perfectly, it just doesnt move :/ Anything I can do to fix this??Thanks, jamie
eskimo
If the mounts are maxed out then no. The Evo mounts do offer a fair bit of movement if i remember rightly. The Evo 1 mounts did anyway. But that frame probably hasn't got allot of room, so maybe a new rim?
Jamie905
Yeah, Im trying to get hold off an evo 1 mount. Tarty's said about grinding off the shoulders and bodging a 2-bolt on there, but thats a bit last resort. I litterally had the wheel come today, rims a day old so won't be changing it yet! haha

Jamie905
I could do, but having a magura Id rather find a way around it and use that...
eskimo
I could do, but having a magura Id rather find a way around it and use that...I don't think a vee would offer anymore room. Got to remember the pads will back out onto the seat stay the same as the Magura.[edit]I probably have an EVO1 mount setup you can have. It's up to you if you want to pay a ruff estimate on postage or i just throw it in the letter box and you pay the hold charge. joshlyd1
No you can use the evo1 mount as i have done on a onza t bird it gave about 10-20mm extra clearence for the brake even when i had a 30mm wide rim !It should be fine but if needs must you should bodge or get a new brakeHope i have helped Josh
Jamie905
Yeah, its crazy how much extra space they give, even with rock pads, cos they're pretty deep pads. Feels a little less flex in these evo 1's as well, so pretty happy. Anyway, thanks for all the help. Jamie
