Practice Practce and Practice!! that's what it's all about mate(Y)

I still love playing on the curbs outside my house:) It's great practice, and if I'm honest I reckon I'm on curbs more than anything else(Y)LOL

Keep it up, your doing well for 3 sessions of riding!! You'll keep progressing in time

Well don't bother trying to improve if thats how often your going to ride.

I don't mean that as a total "burn" or whatever, but in the first 2 months of my buying a trials bike I wasn't off of it.

As has already been said, get out more. There is never a going to be an easy way to get 'good'. But then, if you're only riding because you want to be 'good' then you probably don't get what riding bikes is all about. Passion.

I'll be a little more constructive now though; You've got the basics now, you're balance seems to be pretty good judging by the bench riding. Practice your trackstands though, you seemed a little wobbly. It's no good being able to gap across that curb unless you can balance before, gap it, then regain your posture.

I think that's the fundamental skill of bicycle trials, the ability to move between obstacles in a controlled and precise manner.

I wouldn't worry to much about bigger gaps and higher obstacles until you've got that.

Oh, one other thing.. don't spend loads of time trying to do drops. They wreck your bike, look shit until you have loads of control and they aren't 'hard'.

I think that should help.

a few people have said you need to get out more, but if you have work or kids an cant get out a lot then there isn't a lot you can do.

if you have come along that quickly in a couple of months its all about practice mate you seem to have the basicis nailed, there is no limit apart from your fear. just keep practising an it will come

cheers

thanks for all the replies!

Its not that i don't ride because i don't want to if it was up to me id be out riding everyday all day!

I ride my trial bike to work everyday so i can practice track stands and bits at traffic lights and things like that!

Plus the fact that i don't drive means when I'm not at work its hard for me to get places! but i should be driving in the next month or two so i

will be out as much as i possible can!!

Thanks again for all the replies and support!!

I don't understand all this stuff about 'improving'....just ride and have fun. If you get better at it, it's just a bonus

i know what your saying!......... i just wanted peoples opinion's and tips on things im trying as i would like to get better and i feel

that sometimes asking for tips and watching videos is the best way of learning quicker as there may be things im not doing that may help me if you know what i mean lol!

Thanks

Rich

Riding looks good for only 2 months. Wouldn't worry too much about getting better - it'll just happen through riding (apparently, although I'm still waiting). My only tips are don't rely on pogo-stick bikes and keep it smooth.

Fun vid! Thanks for sharing. Looks like you're doing swell. I am just learning to do pedal kicks/gaps and whatnot, so you're ahead of me and I've been at it for much longer (Old fart, here). Practice for what you want to achieve, I'd guess. Get out more and you'll progress more, as stated.

I do find it funny that you'd wear shin guards and no lid. Throw a cap on, mate. Lids look gay, but you only got one noggin. Just in case.
