bigamac
I think it all comes down to personal preference.I ride mod, but normallty he lower the stem the more hoppy, the higher the more bunny hoppy.I dont know how it works for stock. craiggy1984
I'll try the stem lower then,i do all my stuff pretty static,i started on a mod a few months ago and moved to stock and carried that riding style over.....would probally be best aswell seeing as it's a long fram right??? :/
PaRtZ
long stock frames are beasty for tapping. So I found that having a high stem helps even more with this Having a low stem usually helps for front wheel moves and sidehops (if you go to front wheel) But as said above its personal preference. Having a low stem doesn't mean you cant tap again ever...

Having a low stem doesn't mean you cant tap again ever...I lowered it and found it a little awkward,im finding things a little harder on the longer bike too,my mates are saying that i'm just not tryin hard enough as im really considering going back to my czar ivan frame,im going to give it a month on the Gu,if i don't start feeling at home i'm going to go back to the shorter ivan,i was really starting to improve on the czar but i always wanted a Gu.....At the moment i have risen the stem height up again and i shall persevere, thanks for your help lads,i dont suppose i help myself much by changing bikes and frames so frequently either though as im never getting used to one set-up,one month it's an old megamo mod, then an onza t-pro,then the czar stock, and now all my stock parts onto the typhoon frame, should have stuck with old faithull czar shouldnt i?? Muel
Purely down to personal preference, I used to run mine with about 25mm, and it's just slowly got lower and lower until now I have 5mm with the bars titled so the rise bit is almost vertical. Ross McArthur
Hmm, ive always wondered...Lets say for arguments sake, it's a street bike we are talking about. An Inspired maybe. Would a bike like this bunny hop better with a low stem with high rise bars, or with a high stem with low rise bars? Keeping in mind the same stem is used only to be packed out with spacers underneath.Anyone understand where im coming from?
Muel
It'd be much better with high rise bars tipped back IMO.And a fairly mid high stem too, like a TMS Sport 130x30.
