peggysue
hello people, listen a friend of mine has dropped me an eno freewheel, however inside the threads is a brass thread saver so i cant use it yet. ive tried hacksaws screwdrivers , heating it up etc etc , but it aint coming out. he said we should call it £30 if i have to replace anything. there is also no blue seal covering the rachets and pawls. so the new body from tartybikes which has the new threads on it is £32 and the seal is £5 . the rest of the freewheel is ok condition . so it will cost me £67 to get me running again . a new eno would be £84. what would you guys do? new or fix it? or is it worth £30 in the conditon its in?cheers p.s. ogre if you read this , NO OFFENCE LOL............. im just skint at the minute..!! Borat
No, I would get a new freewheel. Seeing as it would only be another few quid to get and you can be 'fo-sho' it will work. Plus you will have a worrenty on it.
Muel
Get a Tensile, then you've got a new freewheel that doesn't cost the earth. I've seen too many Enos skip to ever own one, Tensile for me if I ever have another FFW.
peggysue
ive got mixed views on the tensile, alot of people say its brill, and alot say it breaks easy...im 6foot 3 and nearly 18 stone so i need the strongest really....
sstein
Get a dicta freewheel they are ultimately strong ! Failing that go for the tensile!

The only eno I ever heard of skipping was mine, but it was ruinning on 5 paws instead of 6.Answer to question, the rest of the freewheel doesn't sound that great if you ask me if its already missing the blue bearing seal. Get a spanking new one if you got the extra £££.
Guest itstroy08
Looking at your problem, i would say just buy a new one. Then send the other one back saying its a manufactoring problem, and them get a replacement one, and sell that for £60,You are making money .
