J Trials 31
Basically the title. What's the best brake cable out there for vees. I don't know a whole lot about vees and I've got vees front and rear that have seen better days, so looking to upgrade everything.

J Trials 31
odyssey linear slic i thinks saw ali c using one of those spangly nokon outers though? Can you buy them where you can basically put them right on the bike? Without cutting and all that? I'd probably need a noodle then as well right.
georgieporgie
odyssey linear slic i thinks saw ali c using one of those spangly nokon outers though?Yeah, i use a jagwire with the nokon outer thingy.. smooth as hell, but not cheap. But alternatively ive allways found a-bikes linear slic cables to be nicer than the oddyessys. Orgun_Donor
Gusset Linear slick outers are lush. damn hard to cut though. But pretty much any linear slick will be fine.

Orgun_Donor
You can.... but iys going to be a damn long bit of cable attached to your bike... could always invest in a pair of cable cutters... only a couple of quid!
Jitters
I'm enjoying Avid Flak Jackets. Doesn't make them the best by any means, but they seems to work nicely.

totaltrials
I've used a lot of different cables, odysey linear slick, avid flack jackets, jagwire outers. Best is usally XTR. I don't know why.As for an inner cable, get a stainless steel coated/slick cable. Jagwire do a good Slick stainless inner cable for quite cheap. Never get just a normal galvenised cable, they aren't good and belong on average every day bikes. Spend an extra £1.5-/£2 on a good cable.Nokon cables are meant to be very good, I'm going to try them next just for the fact they don't flex at all. I've tried the test they have for them which measures the amount of flex compared to a normal cable and it's much better. If you need any of these cables I have loads, I can sort you out with a kit. Jimbo Limbo (Trials Chimp)
XTR cables, ive always used them and theyre well smooth, i think ive got clarkes at the moment, theyre good but not quite the silky feel of the XTR ones!Use plenty of grease, cant go wrong then. Always looking to try out different or better stuff. Thanks!Hope the Zhi is treating you well! =)Will do. It will probably be a while though. In more desperate need of some good pads and good levers.Lovin' the Zhi. Just when I started to practice at TTC the day before the event the brakes decided not to work, so the A3 came out and did the comp. I think it was the dust and the pads that are on there.
