Mtchell
Hi Just wondering How do I removed the old pad from cnc backing ??And is there any certain way i need to put in the new refill in???
Alex Dark
boil the old backing with pad material, remove carefully with pliers or similar, then push a small 1.5mm/2mm allen key through the holes in the back topush the pad material out.To replace the material, clean out all the old superglue from inside the backing, thinly coat the new compound and the backing with crnoacrylite superglue. As this is a contact adhesive, the old mantra of less is more applies here , so apply sparingly. Leave to dry under pressure, ideally in a vice overnight.Or, have a look at the Heatsink Pad Fitting Guide

Mtchell
Yer boiling them sounds like a plan to remove coust material from the plastic backing because i want minimal damageWhere as the cnc backings have black maggie material in them so i,ll just rip them out .Is there any certain super glue i must use to glue them back in or will standard super glue be ok ?? sstein
Not all pads are glued in. I am pretty sure that phat pads don't need boiling or glue.
