Billiboi
Hi all, i ride a czar DD and i just cant get my timing right on pedal hops. I am always coming on the back due to not pulling the brakes at the right time. Makes me look likt a tit and bloody hurts, + if i am tryin to hop up something i normally end up bent over it on my back.Is there any way to improve this apart from practice of course? but is there like a timing people can use or waiting for something to happen etc.?Thanks all
JT!
Make sure you're very comfortable with doing backhops with the brakes being on all the time. That way you can learn how to backhop without over complicating it with releasing the brake and moving the pedals. But when you are pedal hopping, let the front end drop a little, the pedal kick will lift the front end up, so the lower the fron wheel is the less chance you have of 'looping out' (comming off the back). But it really just is a case of practicing. Alex Dark
practice....lots, just get it dialled on a realtively soft surface i guess grass?
Jitters
practice....lots, just get it dialled on a realtively soft surface i guess grass?Yes, good place to learn the intricacies of many things. I use a football field near my house when no one is around to practice those and anything that might make me nervous to learn on pavement. So much softer. Ahhh.... Mtchell
To start with try not Kicking the pedals down to hard that way your less likely to flip back
Oli P
Try doing "pedal punches" to help you get the timing on applying your brake without the chance of going over the back.Pedal Punches
