willis-gu
Yo,I have just purchased a four finger leaver and it feels quite spongy. I am just wondering if any of you lovely people also have the same problem, or weather its my bleed on my brake? I do relise that the longer the leaver then the more spongy it will feel, however it really is quite spongy, so i am beginning to think it is my bleed!cheers willis xx
N.Wood
Well as you say, th longer the lever the more it will flex the frame outwards. Do you have a booster? Re-bleed it and see if that cures it, if not you might want a stiffer booster.
craiggy1984
I ride a four finger lever on my bike for my rear maggie and its not spongy at all,i use a two bolt booster but upgrading to a four bolt echo booster soon, try what others are saying, give your brake a good bleed, try that, then if that still feels spongey try a booster
Earl
Iv got a booster on mine, some people who have had a go on my bike say it's spongy but i don't think it is, so give it a bleed and a booster maybe and see what you think its a personal thing i think. Redneck
i have a 2009 system that i recently put on my bike thats a 2 finger lever the feels spongy because the frame flexes alot. try adding a booster then try a bleed. ive got 2 boosters on my monty, a four bolt and a 2 bolt that i made in the barn. it still feels spongy to me. it really is all personal preference. LukasMcNeal
I have a 4 finger lever on my T-Pro but it does feel spongy on the back because I can literally see the frame flexing. So IMO just get a booster and it'll be fine!
