VOLTAGE25 Posted July 7, 2009 Report Share Posted July 7, 2009 Hi Guys, just went for a new bike and got a split new onza t comp at a great price got pads and chain protection and veggie shin guards thrown in too . Comes with HS33 ft and rear and i was just wondering what boosters to use on the brakes. Can i ask a stupid question ? Whats the difference between 2 and 4 bolt boosters ? Do theY work different ? willis-gu Posted July 7, 2009 Report Share Posted July 7, 2009 Boosters basically stop the frame from flexing when you pull your brake, so putting a brake booster on will make the brake feel rigid and stop the frame from flexing. Guest itstroy08 Posted July 8, 2009 Report Share Posted July 8, 2009 Some 2-bolt boosters are NOT wide enough to fit on a 20", 4-bolt is your safest option.When you press the lever hard, look at your frame, it will bend outward, a booster eliminates this, so your brake feels amazing.A very vital part if your frame doesnt have one built in.
