Jack Morton
Right i learn't by firstly doing in some way's a wheeley. And then started picking my front wheel up and just kicking so i'm doing a wheeley and then pausing in it ( pulling my rear brake on ) i repeated this until i had both the confidence and balance to also hop. And then i soon picked it up.
loonytoon
it took me along time to get the hang of them too, i started by just trying to get my balance on the back wheel an doing small hops with no pedal movement, once you get the hang of this slowly try a little pedal kick in while doing hops on the spot, then progress onto moving forward. its either a case of you will pick it up straight away an off you go or it will take you a long time to get it right with the brake timing just make sure you practice on flat land so not far to fall.hope this is of some help to you, i am kind of rustyben

Revolver
Wheelie-stop is good, and also backhopping.Learning to wheelie-stop teaches you the timing for letting go of your brake, and pedalling. Then, you just add a jump.
AaronR504
This may sound realy silly but i was trying to learn to pedal kick for absolutely ages and i heard from someone that moving your rear brake lever further down the bar so you can only reach it with one finger helped, i didnt think much of it at the time but after going out one night with some mates and a set of allen keys i decided its worth a shot, and i found it so much easier and after litterally 5mins of preactice like that i couild do them pretty wellhope this helps dude good luck

Laurence--Trials
Some people say this is wrong (alexxxx ) 1.Pull a wheelie.2.Do a rear wheel hop.3.Put on rear brake and prepare to land.4.OPTIONAL. Lean back a little to hold the bike up. Hope i helped.Laurence.
