Mikey Tomo
I have a Hope Mini and the lever is playing up. When you pull the lever in it stops and then has a sharp click and pulls right in and locks on. Therfore I can't have the brake on slightly as it clicks and locks on. I need quick help for this please.
Borat
Is it brand new?If not, it needs a bleed. Then report back.
Mikey Tomo
Its not spongy. Its as if something is stopping the lever pulling in. Then whatever is stopping it suddenly gives. Sometimes it doesn't do it but most of the time it does.
Muel
Is it brand new?If not, it needs a bleed. Then report back. No, it needs the problem solving...A lack of oil or old oil isn't causing that, it sounds like something is fecked.I'd take the lever blade off and operate it with some pliers, if the lever blade or body are bent they could be fouling on each other.Maybe it has a super dry caliper seal? Mikey Tomo
How could I lube up the seals ? I've also took a pic of the inside so you can see if anything is wrong.Very bad quality but what are those two black things towards the bottom of the gold part? 3dd
Try to push the pistons back a bit, the noise is brake pads moving in the caliper, it is not major problem. If you want to sort it out try 1st thing i said, if does not work take pads out spray some WD40 pushing the lever in so the calipers come out, then spray wd40 again and push them back. and down forget to clean after that, as the left overs can contaminate your pads. Job done?
