Muel
XC shoes are very stiff, trials shoes are very flexible.I use skate shoes, they're fairly stiff but still bendy.
Bol Maaaaaaing
I have some Trident Trials shoes. The grip are soft so they dont slip of the pedals, but the souls are hard. They are really tight and take some getting used to but they are real good. Also they look a bit odd...I paid $145 NZD (Or around that) which is 55 GBP.I recommend getting some. spaceman
Hmm, how about the Nike 6.0?The sole is pretty hard too. Get those with the "waffle" pattern sole.

Mark W
Anything Vans make > Nike SB > Nike 6.0Pretty much. If you're getting cramps in your feet from riding a stiffer soled shoe might help, but it's a trade off with grip. Maybe just buy a pedal with a bigger body? Redneck
i run VP trials pedals, they dont seem to be very small. i like the idea of the trident trials shoes. the look cool, in a weird kinda geeky trials rider way.
