stunt man t
right, im trying to build a try-all hole rimit has off-set spoke holes and when i lace up the wheel the spokes dont turn out like thishttp://www.tartybikes.co.uk/images/bikes20...oxx220bike6.jpgas you can see the spoke nearest to the left side of the rim goes to the left side of the hubbut when i lace mine up the spoke that goes to the right side of the rim goes to the left side of the hub p.s im build my wheels the same way as shown in the wikiany ideas??or are you as confused as me? N.Wood
Just do as you're doing bit flip the rim around 180 degrees? I dunno I can't really see how its a hard thing to do.

I dunno I can't really see how its a hard thing to do.the first spoke goes to the right hole of the valve hole, right?then you put it in the drive side of the hub and the spokes dont look like they do on that pic??they seem to cross more

N.Wood
Like I said... Just undo what you've done, turn the rim around 180 and problem solved?

JonMack
Are you retarded?Take the rim in one hand, hub in the other, put a spoke through the left hand flange, thread it into a left hand hole on the rim. Carry on from there, and you'll soon have a built wheel. It really isn't hard. Left hand flange to left hand holes, right hand flange to right hand holes. Tada. If you need to go to the hole to the right of the valve, then do it, just means you'll end up building from the right hand flange first, not the left. totaltrials
cheers dude only ever built a rim that has spoke holes in the centre so it didnt matter No rim has spoke holes in the center, they are all slightly offset. So it's exactly the same as when you built your other wheels. Left flange spokes into the spoke holes offset to the left and right flange spokes into spoke holes offset to the right. Unless you thought they where in the center and just put them anywhere which means your other wheels are built wrong.http://sheldonbrown.com/wheelbuild.htmlScroll down and follow those instructions. It explains everything you need to know.

PaRtZ
yeah. I build mine as per G-sport using top and bottom (rather than left and right)Undo everything. Sorry you've done it wrong. May seem like it'll do but come truing do you tighten the left side or right? Gets confusing and not worth the hassleSit your arse down, and put the rim on your lap with the valve hole opposite youHold your hub roughly in the middle and get a spoke (remember to use the correct length if the hub has different sized flanges!)Insert the key spoke (first one) by posting it from the top and drop it through a hole in the top flange. ANY damn hole These are inbound spokesPut this spoke to the hole that is either to the left, or right of the valve hole (Whichever is UP) I try to lace mine to go to the right of the valve hole (by flipping the rim over if needed) so that inner tube valve clearance is gained but if not dont worry about that. So long as the inbound spokes at the top go to a hole on the top, you're fineThen carry on as per sheldonbrown (RIP) or G-sport hubs (remember G-sport is 4x)If you cant do the rest post now and ill put up a brief descripton cos im niceMatt
