Mat Smith!!
Put as many spacers as u want under the stem and then make a mark on the fork at the top of your top cap, then saw off 2-3 mm below that, should be reet.
Borat
Hack saw and a guide. Cutting down the seerer tube will lower the ride hight by only afew cm's, so you can have such a large amount of stem stackers and it's (only slightly) less liable to snap/crack.You only need to cut off a small amount but be aware you dont cut too much off; towards the star nut.xEDIT: Yeah, what Matt said. Duncy H
Well I have just seen the pics of your bike and it looks like it needs cutting, now what you want to do is play around with the stackers to find what height suits you the most, then when you are comfortable just cut them at that length!Edit: too late Edited June 30, 2009 by Duncy H

The reason people cut down their steer tubes is so that they dont have to run stem stackers on top of the stem, which tends not to be very groin friendly. If you have found a decent stem height that leaves the steerer poking out, then cut the excess off.
