Styles
Hey guys, My friend has bought a 19" rear wheel for his bike, however, the bike has a 20" rear wheel on it at present so the v mounts that are on the bike at the moment I'm guessing won't fit because they will be too high up (?), was wondering if this will be a problem or if it will be alright? also anything else i need to do to the frame to get it to fit?I did this before with maguras but used the EVO mounts and it seemed to be ok, is there anything like this that can help with Vees?cheersalex

Jack Morton
Not sure on this but if you put the wheel right in would it not fit then.
Earl
trials bikes come in 20" rear or 19" rear brake mounts not both, but if your frame and wheel takes disc then its ok just the tyre may not fit in the frame.Hope that helps.
Styles
It is an old 'Da Bomb' frame... Definately not a rear disk going on there In regards to pushing the wheel right in, i think that's what we did last time, as the mounts are for an old 20" rear wheel only, so the brake was biting on the tyre where it sat originally, so we pushed it right in and had to slant the brake, but this was with maguras, so I hope it will do the same with a Vee brake...Cheers for the help guysAlex

If your not good at modification or setup then i wouldn't have bothered. Keep to what's compatible. I'm guessing you've tried the obvious brake setup positions already. El Cristoff
If its a 20" frame then 19" wheel won't fit, as the mounts will be an inch out of alignment.Looks like you keep your bike or get a new frame made for 19" rear wheels.
