T Pro 08 Or Pro 09?

Is there a big difference in spec between the 08 and 09 Onza Pro's?

I know the 09 model has mechanical disc brakes but is there any other difference/Improvement?

Are the disc brakes better than the trusty V's?

Basically, I can get a new 08 for 340 or a new 09 for 400 quid.

What's best to go for?

Are they that bad in standard trim?

My reason for buying new is more due to the fact I am after a bike fairly quickly so I can enjoy my summer evenings learning the basics and I'm also intending to stick it on the credit card whilst it's interest free for the next 6 months. ;)

I just wanted to get the best bike I can for around the 400 mark.

right well, i would wait and see what comes up on here but thats just me.If your wanting a new bike then yeah the onza's are pretty good sturdy strong beginner bikes but like i said the standard parts on them ain't so good, but get the vee's in my opinion there much better a decent set of arms, levers and pads they will be amazing.

Thanks bud. So better off saving the 50 quid on the 09, getting the 08 with the Vee's already on there and just updating them with some better ones.
