Rotors

Are the rotors with larger holes better than the ones with smaller holes? For example, the avid roundagon and rockman rotor. By saying better I mean "bite and hold" not modulation. Also I would like to know your experience with rockman rotors.

from a past experiance, Id say rotors with bigger holes are better and I say that because I had the roundagon with a BB7 when they came as standard and it was shite lol no idea why, couldn't do anything for it. Then I changed it to the cleansweep and after bedding in it was much better. Now I know the clean sweep has a larger area anyway, but the holes are mahoosive and the brake just worked alot better (Y)

I am using 180 rockman rotor on my hope. IMO it is so much better than a standart hope one. Just need to worry about bending it as it is a f**ker to make it straight again! I think it also matters what brake you are running. You cannot see big holes in the magura disc brakes, but if you have a look at the hope ones, that have massive holes and supposed to stick in between the holes. I was just about to make a topic about that as well, wondering if brake would be better/sharper with magura SL rotor, i know one guy that is using it and says it is amazing on his hope, but i can't realy try it because he is in another country and dont want to risk to buy it if it does not work as its £32 on chain reaction. Anyone tryed anything like that?
