If you are getting your brake from Tarty bikes just ask for Evo mounts for V brakes and they will put the right mounts in for you. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You may as well spend your money on a decent V brake, it will work just as well.They just need to be set up correctly. My brother has a set of 04s with standard blacks in plastic backings on his XC/Jump/Hack bike and they're stiffer than the rear on his T-Lite, and about the same as on my Kot.
