Scott Gibbs
When i was 15 me and my best mate lee really got into mountain biking especially DH but one afternoon we rode down the college and spotted to trials riders got talking to em and became friends and we got into the trials scene, i kept on wanting one and never commited to it completly moved on to other things, downhill then motocross then onto street riding and finally now on to trials at last and i love it

Simon2009
After doing Motocross for 15 years I just figured it would be a good way to improve my core stability and balance and they would sort of lend to one another in terms of practice. All types of biking require good balance and I don't think any sort of cycling requires it more than Trials.Plus, when you get as good at motocross as I am you feel like you need a new challenge.... Bol Maaaaaaing
When I started riding motorbikes as a wee lad, I saw some motorbike trials in a book and told dad I wanted to do that, So did he.So we started doing motorbike trials and when I found out that there was bike trials I wanted to do it because it would improve my skills on my motorbike, and because we live in town it would give me more time to do it.Then I realised that it was better than motorbike trials and it seemed to be easier. So 6 months ago, after a year of trying to do trials on a jump bike I got my CZAR and its gone from there.... AaronR504
got into it by complete fluke... went local bike shop to get some catalogues cos i wanted a load of bike pics and everything over my garage and one of them happened to be a onza catalogue... on the way out someone who worked there said if im intrested in trials he is selling a saracen zero i think it was called so i asked if he could bring it in and if i could have a play with it and it went from there
JDâ„¢
I started as a natural progression of just being a kid riding a bike... I had this Marin Rift Zone for XC comps when I was 11 and used to do the obvious skids and wheelies. As a competing XC rider though, I needed some skills - just little bunnyhops and prejumps and stuff which made my riding quicker so I could keep up with the bigger lads sometimes. I used to read MBUK and started seeing stuff like Hans Rey mucking about on an adventure somewhere and that showed me that skids and wheelies can be taken to different levels. We swapped my XC bike (one of only 2 in the WORLD ever made in that size... oops) for 2 rigid bikes at some bike shop somewhere - one for my Dad and one for me - and we started to learn some more. I guess I was still under 13 by that time... That means I've been riding trials on and off for like 9 years and I'm still pretty much just into skids and wheelies. xswimordiex
ever since i saw hans rey at a gt demo about 15 years ago i've been intrigued by trials riding, i used to race bmx and dirt jump, then i didn't do anything for a while, then got into downhill biking, and somehow the i really really wanted to actually ride trials and here i am! woot woot! Miles Mallinson
i went to fortwilliam in 2009 and saw danny macaskill do loads of cool stuff and i watched all the amazing competition riders doin huge sidehops , so when i got home i built up my jump bike to try it and ever since i could just bunny hop, pedal kick or just an endo i just found it so fun to learn loads of cool stuff and the satisfaction you get when you do a massive gap or a cool spin off something its the greatest feeling in the world for me, even if its not riding i love the bikes and technologies that is in this sport

Geek
That, bizarrely enough, now I look at it and see massive lack of lines.
Jamie_Trials
Dad did mototrials when he was a kid, he got me one but after breaking it several times and I always was a pushbike kind of guy, I watched some videos of bike trials and it just seemed more appropriate seen as you can do it anywhere and you don't need to pay for petrol. In fact, watching the videos kind of made me determined to do some of the stuff, really addicting.
