The Best Freewheel

Recommended Posts

Tensile, they're strong as hell if you look after them.

If I were you I'd clean it out when it's brand new, they come packed full of grease and it sticks the springs together and makes it skip when new, which is why people think that they have to "bed in". (It's a freewheel, theres nothing to bed in...)

I used to just run mine with WD40 in it, lasted me 2 years and 4 months and was still never skipping when I sold the bike!

Mine hasn't skipped at all, from new. It's a few weeks old new.

The only thing I find with all the grease it effects the sound.

My tensile sounds like a cassette ;)

Hopefully the grease wears down a bit then the clicking should become louder? :)

I've got a standard ACS on the T pro at the moment, hate it.

Falling to bits. I've had a tensile and i loved it, never skipped, really loud and a great feel to it, but I've got a Viz one coming next week so I'll see how that one is. I've had a profile hub as well, but that is a liitle bit more expensive :( .

Im using a Try-All 108.9 (ffw).

I can tell you now its ace, pick up is pretty much instant not as loud as expected but the noise it makes is crazy and constant but nice (Y).

I would recomend it, but a lot f people say it will break after a month, mines lastet from christmas, and still going.

There sold on tartybikes for the price of £68 i think, but worth every penny, well pounds :shifty: .
