anzo
Howdy,I've been looking for another job for the past 4 months, obviously I've picked the worst possible time to do this but I'm sick to death of my current employment.I'm searching job websites for the Job Centre, local Council, NHS, Police and even send my CV off to various IT businesses - no reply what.so.ever.Anyway, a lot of the jobs I 'avoid' applying for are those through agencies and I don't full know/understand the terms and conditions involved with such an application. I know agencies make money from people they recommend to businesses, but how does that directly effect me? I could pass my CV on to an agency and they'd probably find me work somewhere - but I don't want to jump out the fat and into the fire.Does anyone have any experience with employment agencies? Basically, it doesn't effect you at all if you pick a good one. Pick the big names and you'll be in good hands for them to match your skills to the right job/wage package. The money side isn't taken from you at all - the business who are looking for employees pay a fee to the agency for finding them the right candidate. For you, you'd want to be looking for agencies with specific links into good technical companies I would imagine? A quick google will find you some names.
