Am i right in thinking that if i buy these i will be able to put HS33's on my frame that only supports V's?

Yes it will work, but are a real bitch to stop from moving.

I would try and look for Maguras old "Evo 1" mounting system, its practically the same mechanism but the slave cylinders are independent over each other, and can't physically move outwards as the frame works as a stop against the post on the mount.

The Evo2 mounting system is terrible as they have a mounting plate which essential makes the brakes one unit, and with the quickrelease mechanism you get nothing but movement (with both cylinders, one pivots, the other slides on the quick release bolt).

My personal opinion would be, that for V brake mounts, just use a good V brake, works just as well as a Magura as ultimately it is the pads you use and rim set-up that defines how good a brake it is, and a V brake works out cheaper.

Thanks for the good reply, I would stay with my V's but the main reason that i want to use these mounts is so that i can put a 19" rim onto my bike. With the standard V Brakes i don't think it would work.

I'm not convinced that it will work with Magura's either unfortunately... Someone like Adam at Tartybikes would be able to answer that in a second though! Good luck :).
