Mr Motivator
If I took two bikes and took the front wheel out of one bike and put the forks of that bike on the QR of the rear wheel of the other bike; would I have a crude tandem? It'll involve a bit of bending the forks because of the spacing. Anybody else tried this and it's gone horribly wrong?Like this:
Tony Harrison
I did it in London once after I smashed a back wheel. The pair of us rode a good few miles, including the negotiation of Parliament Square. It's difficult to ride though simply because you have two turnable handlebars. Mr Motivator
Awesome!I've thought of a fairly crude but simple way to lock out the rear handlebars. I assume that it was fairly snakey?
Fixed Pants™
You need to put a large bolt through the headtube to fix it so it stays straight.

NVWOCI WVS
we did this, but then tied the handlebars of the front bike to the seatpost of the rear bike, put a big guy on the back and a little guy on the front. The result was the front bike prema-wheelying. It was cool.
