ben_travis
Gold Bash = fail. as you well know, get something sorted for that....Bar / stem set up looks ok, but i think you need some black bars to go with all the black components. Seat / seat post configuration needs sorting. it just looks silly with the wrong way round seat post. You should get a pivotal seat post.Just my opinions.Ill give you the fact that the more i look at your bike, the better the green looks.p.s good ol' cumbernauld with a burned out car, thats obviously been there for donkeys....p.p.s get the updated pics with the disc on it up??? Now has a silver race face stem and black race face bars. The bars ride loads nicer for that bike than the monty bars did.The seat post is like that because it was hitting the booster the other way around. But now that the rear disc is on I will be able to turn it round....But yes, a pivotal would be nice. The green stem was too long for the head angle of the bike. I got 73 degs thinking I would be doing lots of front wheel stuff and I wanted more cock pit room. But it was just too long for bunny hops, even with the high set up.The green on the bike looks so much better in real life, it just didnt ride very well. I'll try and get some up dated pics with the disc on soon. The brakes are working really well, even on a big gap to a kerb it was holding. The shorter stem works so much better, and I've even got used to being over the front end a bit further now to compensate for the shorter reach. As for the frame its self. I cant fault it at this stage. It's been fine with both magura and a disc on the rear end.The plastic pedals are mint too. lol There is plenty of grip and there has been no shin bashing.Old schooool!Nice Cheers man. ben_travis
So - all that effort you made to get green components specifically for that bike, and now you have taken them off!?Get some updated pics up, and hurry up with a video / riding pics. Scott Gibbs
Looks good ross. What disc are you running out back? How is she holding up then? Well me gettin a marino has had a slight set back, my bloody forks cracked on my GT hardtail so my marino budget was eaten by that wee misshap! But i will get one oh yes! What was the finish like? Matt said it was a wee bit rough on some parts of the frame. What was yours like?

He was running a avid juicy carbon, said he liked it but then swapped back to a magura the other day. As for the frame and its finish I love it looks awesome in the flesh well worth the money and his geo is mint.

What was yours like?Och that's a shame son, I too have multiple bikes to maintain, so I feel you're pain.I had an avid juicy carbon on the rear 180mm and it was sweet! I really got on with it and the bike was silent with everything I done. I just can't do without a magura on the back of the bike though. A nice feeling back brake is such a pleasure to have and I think I'm able to set up that kind of brake with a maggi a booster and some TNN pads. It makes the bike feel so solid and I become more confident when the bike rides well. The finish on the frame is great. I have worm the top tube a bit as I've rode it loads so might just give a wee spray with a spray gloss off of BnQ.Night night. TrialsMan Dan
looks good, Ross, really makes a change to consistantly seeing Fourplays and 24UK's, I think the 24" concept is really going to boom next year
