When i checked up on the ashton site i noticed that they had changed the paint job for the effect.

check on the links above to view the effect

what does everyone think?

Edit: Im not talk about the spec! Just wondering what everyone thought about the paint!

I prefer the green one.

Dark blue and black should never be seen...Or is that red and green?-Ooops made that mistake already.

As for the Justice! (My Boxx is just about dead) I'm gettin it!

Plus...Can someone please give us an idea on the geo for both the Effect and Justice-Resolve? Surly Ashton should be able to confirm that now?

WTF? The green color ruled! :(

Why did they change it? :o

That is so stupid!

And I mean, they have changed the fork, the stem, and now it looks like a kid's bike! :shades:

SHIT! I was dreaming of one, and now it makes me sick...

I am so disappointed : I hope they will sell both colors...

I should say to above ... The stem was a hope team issue job on the green one, which is a fully pimped out team bike with team spray job based on the theme for the bikes ( ie the stripes ) the blue/black bike is specced up like the complete bike would be (retailing pretty darn cheaply) and as such is never going to look so spangly. just as mine looks pertty spangly in the same way ...

The forks on MAs bike are echo's as none were available at the time ... the final versions will be disc only jobbies.

Dropouts on the effect will be as the team bike and the geo will be as the prototypes - which is roughly ET geo... 385 1020-30 ish +20ish bb all pretty fork dependant ... of which I only have the fairly long inspired fork.

I actually prefer this paintjob to the green one - especially for the bike/spec it is going on...

The frameset paintjob is going to be a fairly stealth black / grey affair so should make some sweet builds.

geo for the justice is going to be the medium one we tested - the one Martyn is riding (and I believe very similar to the proto that Ali rode) at 1080/5 ? 380 +30 ? which actually does ride really well ...

EDIT - there WILL be a rear brake !! Oh and how quickly things change - when they came out people were up in arms against the spray jobs !!

I never have liked the Diamondback brand to begin with, even their 'high end' stuff seems like cheap churned out trash, to be fair.

The brand just doesn't have a winning look to it.

Once Ashton separates from Diamondback, which'll happen sooner or later some day, that'll be brilliant for ABikes

I think if you take into consideration the price, it looks awsome!

You cant expect a sub 500 pound bike to look like Rowans one, which is full of Hope team goodies!

Aimed at someone who doesnt want to spend 1300 odd on an inspired full build, it looks perfect!

Will deffinately consider one of these if my Leeson breaks.

Aye Rowan,

Cheers for clearing the Justice geometry up...Same as the Atomz and Yaabaa then.

As for your people changing minds comment, I think your right, I have changed my mind on the paint jobs. I didnt like the green one to begin with, now I do.

I didnt like the Justice paint job but now I like the updated one.

Will there be only one colour scheme for each bike? Red and white for the 26 and black and blue for the 24?

negatory - those are the full bike colours - the framesets are different - I know that the 24" is a simple black/grey affair - Im not too sure on the justice ...
