Anti Stab Knives.

The funny part is that some research group spent millions (or worse, got paid millions) to come up with this.

And remember, when stabbing furiously with said 'stab-proof' knife, make sure to work it in between any bones for maximum bonus points. Bones ruin everything.

Don't know...

I use this Kershaw to open my bike boxes at work. -

Having no point wont do anything, just means they will have to stab you harder to get the desired effect.

I think most knife crimes are when one is used to intimidate in a robbery etc etc, I don't think it'll really make any difference to crime and stuff.

I'll try and see what they say on British Blades, they have a serious chat section but because of the nature of the forum you need to have 250 posts in the "general" section before you can make a topic. So I'll see if there are any other views or mentions of this on there and quote them across.

I can only imagine the amount of time you spent thinking of other ways to badly injure somebody without the use of a knife.

Edit: A pencil or a compass?

Just imagine this scene: Some uber brap in a flat peak and stolen tracksuit from JJB's approaches you, it's dark, there's no one around and you're scared, he could have a gun, one of these new anti-stab knives, anything, and you know unless you run you're going to die. He's a foot from you, he reaches into his inside jacket pocket for his weapon of choice, your heart's beating so fast you can hear it and it feels like it's going to pounce out of your chest at any given second. You see it, it glistens in the moonlight, the sharp pointed object in his hand, he lunges for you, it pierces your skin, he runs away and you look down, you feel the blood dripping from your chest and then you realise, it's okay, he's only pierced 5mm into your chest with a compass.

"I think knives are a good idea. Big, f**k-off shiny ones. Ones that look like they could skin a crocodile. Knives are good, because they don't make any noise, and the less noise they make, the more likely we are to use them. Shit 'em right up. Makes it look like we're serious. Guns for show, knives for a pro."

Wow you lot really know how to stab people

It certainly doesn't strike me as being difficult?

On a physical level at least, the morality of it leaves me confused, as there are a lot of people I would like to stab...

I pretty sure getting stabbed in the neck with a compass would do damage, if thats all they have they ain't gonna aim for the chest.

stabbing isn't the only way to pwn people with a knife, if you held it, blade facing outwards and swiped across a chest, with enough force you can crack ribs and the blade will find it's way into a gap between ribs, pwnage ensued...

We were having fun discussing the many other ways to murder people until you came along and went all serious on everyone's arse.

Oh get a f**king grip.

Am I the only person here who see's Knives as a necessary tool and not something to kill people with ?

I appreciate it's a bit of a joke now a days, and that were all having a laugh about it (even I have). But on a serious note a knife is a very useful and important tool in some roles, when I go working with the Forestry Commission I couldn't do my job without a good quality knife and the knowledge of how to use it properly.

Maybe you guys should have a quick look into some of the things a knife lets you do by checking it out on google or on youtube, I would say a knife is the most useful tool you can have for survival and bush craft. If I was leaving my house to go camping/walking/living rough for a bit the first thing I'd put in my bag (or the last for ease of access).
